BEST OF SHAKES-PARODY
The Mickee Faust Club, the raucous and ribald theatre troupe of Railroad Square, will continue celebrating its 25th year by paying tribute to the equally raucous and ribald Bard of Avon with its cabaret show, ”Best of Shakes-parody” at the Mickee Faust Clubhouse.
“We love everything about Shakespeare,” says Mickee Faust, the alter ego of company's co-founder Terry Galloway. “The rousing calls to war, the wooing songs of love, the gory screams of death. And we REALLY love all the sex! And there’s plenty of war, death, love and sex in this show.“
The hour-and-a-half-long entertainment will include crowd and cast favorites from previous Shakes-parodies like "Tutor Suitors" a dating game, featuring a reluctant Elizabeth the First; the invective studded, “Skinhead Hamlet”: the raw and meaty, “McBeef: A Fast Food Tragedy.” And much much more.
There will be preshow entertainment with Eclectic Acoustic in the backyard so bring a picnic and sing along.
If you love Shakespeare or if you love Faust or if you love both in equal or unequal measure, then get thee to the Funnery!
